Privacy policy

CGC is committed to respecting the privacy of its members, customers, and other stakeholders with whom we interact in the development and delivery of products and services that further our goal of making geoexchange work for people and business.

If you are a member of a group administered by CGC, such as a committee, advisory council, board or consumer network, or an information subscriber to a technical committee, your contact information is used to conduct the business of that group in the development of standards and related products. Your contact information is normally shared with other members of your group and possibly the parent committee, to facilitate communications. CGC uses an open and transparent process for developing products, and your involvement in this process may be publicly acknowledged. Depending on your member status, your information may also be used in conducting the affairs of the Association, such as our annual award, notification of the annual general meeting, election of directors, etc. If you are a member of a committee that is jointly administered by CGC and another organisation, or by CGC on behalf of another organisation, we may share your contact information with that other organisation as necessary to conduct the business of the committee. If you are not a member of one of the above groups, but are a member of another organisation or group with whom CGC consults in the development of standards, we will continue to use your contact information for that purpose.

In addition to the purposes stated above, CGC may from time to time send you information about other CGC products and services in which we believe you will have an interest. Please be assured CGC does not sell or share your contact information with other organisations for commercial purposes. If you have any questions about your status with CGC, concerns with how CGC uses your personal information, or wish to update your information or remove it from our contact lists, please visit the Canadian Geothermal Coalition's website or contact us.
