Major Responsibilities:
- This position will design, develop and implement renewable energy programs for the public and the private sector and provide technical support regarding renewable energy and conduct follow up work as required
- Implements detailed plans and recommends policies/procedures regarding program specific requirements
- Supervises, motivates and trains assigned staff, ensuring effective teamwork, high standards of work quality and organizational performance, continuous learning and encourages innovation in others
- Supervises the day to day operation of all assigned staff including the scheduling, assigning and reviewing of work. Authorizes and coordinates vacation and overtime requests. Monitors and evaluates staff performance, approves salary increments, hears grievances and recommends disciplinary action when necessary
- Provides input into and administers assigned budget, ensuring that expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget limitations
- Coordinates the implementation of research, public promotion and outreach, policy and program development activities of the unit
- Coordinates the delivery of various renewable energy programs
- Provides technical approvals, guidance and direction as required including reviewing and accepting all proposed engineering studies related to incentive and/or loan applications and tracking progress of participants
- Researches, evaluates and reports on new energy efficiency technologies and provides technical advice and recommendations to the City and other sectors
- Leads and conducts site visits to identify renewable energy opportunities, develops proposals and advises staff, building owners and property managers regarding alternatives for renewable energy installations and carbon dioxide emissions reduction
- Prepares terms of reference or requests for proposals and oversees technical studies pertaining to energy supply curve, energy audits, retrofit programs/projects, emission trading and various other related City initiatives
- Monitors, evaluates and provides technical and program support for all unit initiatives
- Responds to energy and environmental inquiries from staff, elected officials, building owners, property managers and the public
- Liaises with utility companies, other levels of government, other Divisions and the private sector to further the goals and objectives of the unit
- Prepares reports to Committees and Council
Key Qualifications:
- Strong management skills as evidenced by past successful performance in policy development at an equivalent level in the public or private sector organization.
- A record of concurrently overseeing the work of teams of consultants.
- Proficiency in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with staff in other City Divisions, the business community, community groups, and residents.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as computer skills.
- Demonstrated management competencies that include highly developed project management, analytical/problem solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- An understanding of energy-related issues in the commercial, industrial, institutional and residential building sectors, and who the key players are in those sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Graduation from a recognized University in a relevant four-year undergraduate program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary: $77,240.80 annually

PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS
1. Optimiser la performance financière du portfolio des produits pour la couverture du marché nord Américain;
2. Gérer le cycle de vie des produits ainsi que les projets de développement du point de vue commercial en collaboration avec le département R&D et des opérations;
3. Identifier et prioriser les opportunités en solution de tuyauterie géothermique;
4. Élaborer la stratégie de prix pour chaque ligne de produits;
5. Préparer et présenter les dossiers de développement de nouveaux produits incluant l’analyse de la profitabilité;
6. Collaborer avec les membres de l’équipe marketing pour élaborer les concepts de promotion et de mise en marché du portfolio;
7. Créer et gérer la demande clients en élaborant les plans de marketing et de communication annuel;
8. Contribuer à l’acquisition de nouveaux clients en supportant la force de vente;
9. Maintenir un flux de travail intra et interdépartemental positif en encourageant la coopération;
10. Maintenir un lien constant avec l’unité de production de tuyauterie géothermique; 11. Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe pouvant aider au bon fonctionnement du département.
COMPÉTENCES TECHNIQUES
1. Maîtrise de la langue anglaise et française;
2. Très bonne connaissance des logiciels de la suite Office; 3. Aptitude à animer des conférences en anglais.
